Dear Professional Homeopaths, Long-term Students of Homeopathy, and those of you who are Curious about and New to Homeopathy,
The Florida Homeopathic Society (FHS) is dedicated to educating and promoting homeopathy in the state of Florida. The FHS Board is a vibrant creative group of women who are passionate about fulfilling that goal.
To this purpose we hold an ACHENA approved annual state Conference, proudly support Americans for Homeopathy Choice and Homeopaths Without Borders, offer a North America Society of Homeopaths (NASH) partnership, and keep an up to date website.
We also award an annual Jean Hoagland Service Award to an individual who has shown outstanding dedication to homeopathic education in Florida. Jean made many contributions to Homeopathy on the local, national and international levels and we were blessed to have her on the board of FHS when we began in 2010.
Florida Homeopathic Society’s annual Conference in Orlando again this year at the same new and beautiful place as last year, the Guidewell Center in Lake Nona. We are delighted and honored to present as our guest speaker, vivacious Gabrielle Traub MFHom, CFD, a South African by birth. Gabrielle is a mover and a shaker who in addition working in her own practice, collaborates with conventional medical practitioners in her area and educates the community about homeopathy on her radio show. Her Conference topic will be Homeopathy and Women’s Health.
On Friday, in the late afternoon, we will provide a free 1 hour Introduction to Homeopathy class taught by Gretchen Thevenau, CCH, AP. Afterwards we will host a “Meet and Greet” wine and cheese gathering followed by our annual membership meeting. Friday evening we will watch the movie Magic Drops, an excellent movie about homeopathy. We invite you to attend everything.
Hotel rooms will be at the Lake Nona Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn with the conference itself a short drive away in the Guidewell Center. We will have 2 full days of learning from Gabrielle on Saturday and Sunday. Delicious snacks will be provided both AM and PM, and lunches will be available on site.
We are planning another Book Sale at this conference. Dor Remsen initiated this project a few years ago and it has been hugely successful. Please bring your books to donate or call me ahead of time to send me a picture of books you are donating so we can be more prepared at the Conference.
We would appreciate donations for our raffle table and Silent Auction as well. You are invited to volunteer at these booths or in other ways during the conference. Just contact me at Cicamp7@gmail.com or 352 222 5822 and tell me
know how you are interested in helping. It will be easy and fun.

Last year, in 2017, we were very proud to become certified by ACHENA (Accreditation Commission for Homeopathic Education in North America) as a provider of Continuing Professional Development hours. There have been many changes in homeopathic education over the last few years. As of January 1, 2018, one needs to complete an ACHENA accredited education program in order to take the exam to become Certified in Classical Homeopathy (CCH). This is part of an ongoing effort to identify professional Homeopaths of known and standardized education and skills, just as other health care professions, so that Homeopathic practitioners are recognized as professionals in the Alternative/Integrative Health Care arena.
ACHENA approval enables us to offer continuing education hours to Homeopaths certified by the Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC). We will offer 12 hours of category 1 credit to those with the CCH credential at our 2018 conference. We will continue to offer 12 CEUs to Acupuncture Physicians in Florida.
FHS will partner with NASH to offer a one-year associate (non-professional) membership to NASH (North American Society of Homeopaths). NASH members will receive a copy of the annual journal, webinars and access to their library of resources.
At the heart of every non-profit like FHS is their membership. Please support FHS and what we do by joining! Our dues are a bargain at $35, payable annually in January.
We hope to see you in Orlando for our Annual Conference, Meet and Greet, and Annual Membership meeting and we look forward to networking with you about homeopathy.
Cindy Campbell, President, FHS
