Welcome!

Dear Friends in Homeopathy,
We are holding the annual FHS Conference in Orlando this year, and look forward to seeing our
members and friends there. Our topic is “Homeopathy for Musculoskeletal Healing.” We are
delighted to welcome as our speaker Dr. Asa Hershoff, ND, DC, author of Homeopathy for
Musculoskeletal Healing and Homeopathic Remedies, as well as a 40-year veteran of homeopathic
practice.

We will be based at the Lake Nona Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn with the conference
itself a short walk away in the Guidewell Center (a larger meeting room with no noisy next-door
neighbors!). We will have a full day on both Saturday and Sunday. Snacks will be provided both AM
and PM, with lunch on your own both days.

Friday night we will start the weekend off with a “Meet and Greet” followed by our annual
membership meeting. Attendance of all members is always appreciated!

We will be welcoming Cindy Campbell as the new President of FHS at the meeting. It has been my
privilege to serve on the board since our inception and I have so appreciated meeting and working
with all of you in this labor of love we call the Florida Homeopathic Society.

This year we became certified by ACHENA (Accreditation Commission for Homeopathic Education
in North America) as a provider of Continuing Professional Development hours. You may not be
aware of the changes in homeopathic education over the last few years. As of January 1, 2018, one
needs to complete an ACHENA accredited education program in order to take the exam to become
Certified in Classical Homeopathy (CCH). This is part of an ongoing effort to identify professional
Homeopaths of known education and skills, just as other health care professions do, so that
Homeopathic practitioners are recognized as professionals in the alternative/integrative health
care arena.

ACHENA approval enables us to continue offering continuing education hours to
Homeopaths certified by the Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC). We
will offer 12 hours of category 1 credit to those with the CCH credential at our
2018 conference. We will also, as usual, offer 12 CEUs to Acupuncture Physicians
in Florida.

We are planning another Book Sale at this conference. Please bring your books to donate when
you arrive. We would also appreciate donations for our raffle table as well. You can volunteer
during the conference, too. Let me know if you are interested in helping out in any of these ways
at Po8938@aol.com.

We will be awarding the annual Jean Hoagland Service Award to an individual who has shown
outstanding dedication to homeopathic education in Florida. Jean made many contributions to
Homeopathy on the local, national and international levels. We were blessed to have her on the
board of FHS when we began in 2010.

At the heart of every non-profit like FHS is their membership. If you want to support FHS and what
we do, please join! Dues are $35, payable annually in January.

We hope to see you in Orlando for our annual conference, membership meeting and the welcome
fellowship in homeopathy. I wish each of you Happy Holidays and a Happy & Healthy New Year.
