2015 Annual Conference: Feb. 28 - March 1, Marriott Courtyard, Cocoa Beach, FL
The topic was  "Homeopathic Treatment of Mental & Emotional Disorders"

with  Kim  Elia, Whole Health Now

Kim Elia is one of the Homeopathic world’s most accomplished teachers. His enthusiastic, dynamic, humorous, and upbeat style engaged us as he brought remedies to life. He has a very deep understanding of the principles and practice of homeopathy, but most notably, the ability to communicate these clearly and systematically.

Kim presently serves as CEO of WholeHealthNow. He has been instrumental in the creation of WholeHealthNow’s website, a comprehensive free informational resource for students and professionals. Kim’s intent is to bring the homeopathic community together and to contribute to the training of effective practitioners who will bring homeopathic medicine forward into the mainstream.

At a time in our history when increasing numbers of people are searching for help with mental and emotional disturbances, being able to offer safe, effective and affordable homeopathic treatment is a service to humanity. In this special class for the FHS, Kim explored the challenges involved, shared Hahnemann's perspective from the Organon, and covered materia medica and differential diagnosis for the most commonly encountered mental and emotional conditions, with a special focus on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Other conditions discussed included: Manic Depression, Anxiety, Depression, Neuroses, Phobias and more. Kim’s students readily attest to his ability to present materia medica and the all-important remedy differentials in a vibrant and memorable format. Over the course of the weekend, Kim offered case examples and differentiating points among the most commonly indicated remedies, ensuring participants an enhanced understanding of the effective use of homeopathy in working with this patient population.

2014 Annual Conference: Feb. 8-9, Rollins College, Winter Park, FL
The topic was  "Telling the Forest from the Trees"
with  Miranda Castro, FSHom, CCH, RSHom(NA)

We were so fortunate to have Miranda Castro. Miranda educated and entertained us all. (She was a real trooper considering she was not feeling well the entire weekend!) She was full of insights valuable to both the beginner and the experienced practitioner and shared them with clarity and humor. British by birth, Miranda has been practicing and teaching on both sides of the Atlantic and Pacific since 1988. She is a prolific writer, and has authored three classic Books for Homeopathy: The Complete Homeopathy Handbook,  Homeopathy for Mother and Baby, and A Homeopathic Guide to Stress, as well as numerous articles in Homeopathic journals.

She helped us on our continuing journey to become a symptom “sleuth”.

2016 Annual Conference: Feb. 20 - 21,

Marriott Courtyard - Lake Nona, Orlando, FL
The topic was  "Aging Well with Homeopathy with  Robin Murphy, N.D.

Friday evening found early arrivers reconnecting with other early arrivers at the hotel, then many pitched-in to help prepare for our annual book sale and enjoyed a very special private screening and Director's Q & A of Ananda Yamrit More's film, “Magic Pills”. Both Saturday and Sunday conference mornings started at 7 AM for a QiGong class for longevity led by Robin Murphy, a recognized instructor!

Then, we experienced two days of fantastic teaching on “aging well with homeopathy”. Great content and great socializing! Dr. Murphy discussed the benefits of using homeopathy as we age, including: 10 tips for longevity, remedies to support/correct the digestive process, balance acidic conditions, reduce inflammation, increase immune function, stimulate lymphatic flow, increase vitality, decrease pain, stiffness and depression. We missed the registrants who could not join us at the last minute and are very appreciative of those who turned their un-used attendance fee into a donation! We were fortunate to have so many wonderful gently-used book donations for a book sale, and we also had “trick-tray” raffles. On Saturday evening, we had the opportunity to catch up with long-time and new friends at dinner.

We were lucky to have long-time friend, FHS member, and ardent supporter of Florida homeopathy, Bob Luzader, who came as usual from Tennessee to attend the annual conference. We took the opportunity to celebrate his 90th birthday!
