About Florida Homeopathic Society

A mixture of practicing homeopaths and home prescribers, all of us are continuing students of homeopathy and learning to better serve our families and you, our community. The FHS Board is a vibrant creative group of women who are passionate about fulfilling that goal. To this purpose we hold an ACHENA approved annual state conference, proudly support Americans for Homeopathy Choice, Introducing Homeopathy Film and Homeopaths Without Borders, offer a North America Society of Homeopaths (NASH) partnership, and award an annual Jean Hoagland Service Award to an individual who has shown outstanding dedication to homeopathic education in Florida.

2024 Homeopathy
Conference

FHS is honored to host Denise Straiges for two full days of in-depth study, Homeopathy: a 200-year-old solution to 21st century challenges. Over the course of the seminar, autoimmunity provides the lens through which participants will examine the ways in which the simple, elegant homeopathic process can unravel even the most complicated pathologies. All those interested in Homeopathy are welcome!

Used Books

The Used Book Table is always a popular spot during breaktime at our annual conferences.  Both old friends and new-found friends stop to chat over their favorite titles. It’s also the way to give homeopathic books you no longer have room for a chance to be used by someone else. The FHS conference Used Book Table is a tradition! Between conferences, a small selection of books is available for online donations to FHS. Books are shipped free to addresses in the US.

Hahnemann Monument Project

Florida Homeopathic Society is supporting the development of a professionally produced film to increase Homeopathy awareness to be aired on platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, Disney and Apple TV. The FHS Hahnemann Monument Project is our way of participating. For each $30 you donate to our fundraising for this sure to be great film which fits exactly with our mission of homeopathic education, will receive a historic replica of the Hahnemann Monument in Washington DC.

About Homeopathy

The human body is wonderfully complex with multiple systems that work together harmoniously to maintain health. But it can become weakened. Homeopathy reinforces the body’s work of self-healing and strengthens its resiliency to stress by helping the body recover and maintain homeostasis. Homeopathy means “similar suffering”. This is the central tenet of homeopathic philosophy. Like cures like.

It is the term used by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843), the Father of Homeopathy, to describe his holistic method of restoring wellness to the body physically, mentally, and emotionally. Expanding on the classical principle that “By similar things a disease is produced, and through the application of the like is cured” – Hippocrates (460-377 BC), Hahnemann discovered that by giving specially prepared microdoses of potentized natural substances, not only did the homeopathic remedy address the totality of symptoms of the patient, but harmful side-effects were avoided.
